So Solid’s UK Hip Hop legend in the making Swiss returns to Link Up TV with the visually emotive and thought provoking video for his latest masterpiece entitled “Nigger”. This is the Brand new long awaited first single from Swiss’ eagerly anticipated E.P which is as yet untitled.Swiss gets deep with the lyricism on this track, educating folk about the meaning behind the word “Nigger”, used oh so freely in rap music these days. Swiss draws modern day comparisons to how a nation enslaves themselves through mis use of the word, how certain things have not changed when it comes to racism and what those in his own community have done to each other to further capitulate societies views and prejudice of black people. Swiss touches on why people need to respect themselves more and not play up to negative stereotypes the media and propagandic agenda driven news companies portray. The powerful imagery used in the video encaptulates the essence of meaning of the songs words, depicting historical moments from past and recent years that are dextrumental in black culture, positive or negative, reminding us of the atrocities committed against black folk and the great things black people have achieved. It’s not just the lyrics that are so very poignant, but the production is on point too, seeing Swiss flow effervescently over a pounding, melodically jagged Hip Hop beat (produced by Sky Beats), expertly sampled and chopped up with subtle African tribal vocal cries and media soundbites The song is as every bit a Hip Hop classic as Swiss’ Cry and reminds us of the educational persuasion Hip Hop can have lyrically and why Swiss is such an important part of the UK Rap scene. Epic music. Moving and artistically meaningful. Check out the lessons, take heed, soak up some knowledge and leave us your feedback below…

“The song ‘Nigger’ is also part of a documentary project of the same title. This song will take you on a emotional journey from past to present detailing the intricacies and nuances of the word Nigger from its racially provoked use to how it is presently used in the hip hop community. A song reminiscent of his classic ‘Cry’ insofar as being one verse and very hard hitting in content. Hip Hop General Swiss Ticks a lot of boxes with this from performance to Flow, lyrics, delivery, content and passion bringing a simplistic but hard hitting visual to match the tone of the record. if you like thought provoking unapologetic music, this will not disappoint you.”
