London rapper Villun took on Raptor on his home soil at Don’t Flops recent #MCRvsLDN battle rap event held in Manchester. In a fierce battle Raptor and Villun ripped into each other, with contrasting yet equally brutal styles. Raptor, clearly amped by the crowd using his articulate aggressive brand of barring took it to his London counterpart, getting the best of crowd reactions for almost everything he said. Villun, the calmer of the two, returning from a break in competing really brought his A game, intellectually breaking down his opponent using a measured concoction of intricate wordplay constantly throughout his rounds. Villun has most def upped his game. Raptors verses were fairly generic, going by his standards and it wasn’t until his (apart from that brutal pigmentation scheme in round three – streeeeetched out lol). I rate Raptor but he didn’t come with anything new here. Whatever Villun he had prepared to battle wasn’t the same Villun in front of him. Both intelligent rappers but Villun outsmarted him in this battle. Crowd was unashamedly biased. But 2-1 to Villun (1st and 2nd round). What do you guys think? Who took the W? 0-1 to LDN?
